This privacy policy applies to the FileBeam app (package: com.tj.filebeam).

1. Information We Collect & Share

FileBeam is built to facilitate secure, high-speed file transfers between your devices. We do not collect, upload, or store any of your files or personal information on our servers. All transfers occur strictly over your local network (Wi-Fi, direct P2P connections, or local hotspots) or local browser sessions.

2. Device Permissions

To perform wireless file transfers and discover neighboring devices, FileBeam requires the following permissions:

Storage Access (Photos, Videos, Files): Necessary to read files you choose to share and save received files.
Location / Nearby Devices: Used exclusively to detect nearby devices on the local Wi-Fi network or direct hotspot connections for AirDrop-style file exchanges. Location data is never transmitted.
Camera Access: Used only if you scan connection QR codes to instantly pair devices.

3. Local Transfers Only

All file exchanges (Phone-to-Web, Web-to-Phone, or Device-to-Device) operate through a local web server hosted directly on your mobile device or through direct local Wi-Fi paths. None of your network traffic or payloads are routed through external cloud infrastructure.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We recommend checking this page for updates, which take effect immediately upon publication.
